JOHN 3: 19-21
The lesson out of this text today is that men do not like light-sometimes! You see, light uncovers darkness that uncovers sin. Jesus Christ is light! When Jesus comes into a life, light will shine from the inside out. Light can be a scary thing. It shows dark things in a life, but light can be a good thing. The more Jesus is allowed to have our life, the more our light will shine for Him! Today, let’s let that light shine!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, let my life show the light of Jesus shining through today!

11/2/24
JOSHUA 6: 1-5
What a lesson in today’s text! When the Lord says He will do something, He will do it! When God’’s people here were heading to the land that God had promised them, there was a city named Jericho that was on the way. God told Joshua in verse 2 that the city was already given to them. You see, when God makes a promise, it is as good as done! Now, in verses 4 and 5 the children of Israel were told what to do to get the walls of the city to fall. The lesson here is that God will give me victory in my life, if I will do things God’s way! Obey God today!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to be obedient today!

11/3/24
GALATIANS 6: 7-8
Ok, I know that we have shared this scripture before, but the Lord is putting it on my heart again for some reason. Remember this, according to our text today, what we do today will come back to us, whether it be good or bad. Verse 7 put it to the point “God is not mocked” “God knows our intentions and He knows our very thoughts”. We can fool those around us, but wwe cannot fool Almighty God! So, lets sow good today, not bad!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to be a blessing to someone today!

11/4/24
LEVITICUS 22: 29-33
In today’s text, we are given two main themes for the people of God. When the people would offer a sacrifice to the Lord of thanksgiving, it was to be done because they wanted to give it. Verse 29 says “at your own will”. God does not want us to give to God because someone told us to or made us give. The second lesson today is for God’s people not to profane His name or to take His name in vain or to bring shame to His name. Friends, we need to be mindful that if we carry the name of Christian, that we represent Christ, we represent Almighty God! Never do or say anything to that name!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me to live in a way that will bring honor and praise to you!

11/5/24
I PETER 4: 17-18
Man oh man, the Lords is going to call down judgment on this earth! But notice where the judgment will begin. According to verse 17, God’s judgment will begin at the church! Friends, God knows His people. God knows how faithful we are to Him. God knows our living style. God knows what kind of witness we are for the Kingdom of God. Let’s remember today that God will bring judgment on this earth and it will begin with us!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to serve you more today than I did yesterday!

11/6/24
GENESIS 12: 1-3
I think sometimes we need to be reminded of how we should stand with God’s people, the nation of Israel. As God spoke to Abram here, He promises a great nation. God gives a great warning in verse 3 to those that will stand against His people “curse him that curseth thee”! Please spread the word today, America had better stand with Israel!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Let’s ask the Lord for peace in His land, Israel.

11/7/24
I CORINTHIANS 11: 23-25
Today our scripture is dealing with communion. This is not a suggestion to the church from the Lord. This is a command to the church from the Lord! Just as Jesus shared this with His disciples in the upper room the night of His arrest, this message is to be shared in the church today! Every time we partake of this table, we are to stop and remember what the Lord did for us on that cross. His body was given for us, His blood was shed for us! What a Savior we serve!!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, would you remind me daily of what you did for me on that cross!!

11/8/24
PROVERBS 18: 24
Have you ever heard someone talk about not having many friends? Well, the Bible here just tells us the facts. If we want friends, we must show ourselves friendly. I wonder whom this verse is talking about when it says “there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother”. Of course, the Bible is talking about our Lord. Think about that statement for a moment. If I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord, He will stay closer to me than a brother. Friends, if we trust the Lord, He will always be there!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to be a better friend to others!

 11/9/24
REVELATION 22: 12-21
I know that today’s text is a little long, but powerful! Jesus Christ is coming! Verse 12 tells us how He will come- quickly! Did you notice what He will bring with Him? Rewards to those that have served Him. I love how the book of Revelation concludes. In verse 20 the Lord speaks again to remind us, He is coming quickly! Look up, today could be the day!!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to keep my focus on you this day!

11/10/24
ISAIAH 5: 14
There is an old saying that every time a volcano erupts, that hell is make room for those that do not trust the Lord. Now, I don’t know if that is true or not, but I do know what the Bible is teaching here. Hell is enlarging itself. People that reject Jesus Christ go to the place of hell. I believe that could be a lot of people in this day and time around the world. Let’s share Jesus with someone today!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to lead a person to you today and away from hell.

11/11/24
LUKE 6: 37
A big warning in today’s text. Jesus tells us not to judge others. Notice that if we do judge others or condemn others, it will come back to us. But don’t miss the powerful words at the end of this verse. If I forgive others, I will be forgiven! Friends, today every time I get ready to judge or condemn someone else, stop and forgive them instead!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, every time I start to judge or condemn someone today, would you stop me and remind me I am blessed!

11/12/24
PSALM 95: 1-6
I don’t know about you, but I love these “rock” songs. You know the ones, like “Rock of Ages” or “Standing on the Solid Rock”. According to our scripture today we should be praising and worshiping the Lord today! Verse 6 in today’s text reminds us to go to our knees and worship our maker! Put a favorite hymn today in your head and heart and uplift the Lord in praise!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Thank you Lord for being my God and my King!

11/13/24
ACTS 7: 54-60
Stephen, one of the first deacons in the New Testament Church, was a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost. Stephen preached the Gospel. He shared Jesus Christ and the crowd did not take the message well (v 54). They put Stephen to death! They stoned him. I hear a lot of people today say “I am persecuted for sharing Jesus with others”. Friends, Stephen died for sharing Jesus with others. Maybe we have not been treated as badly as we think. Tell someone about Jesus today. Stop worrying about others opinions!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me to stop being afraid to share Jesus! Give me a boldness to share Jesus today!

11/14/24
I SAMUEL 17: 1-3
I have a special reason for sharing today’s text. I have had the privilege of standing in this valley that verse 2 is talking about! On a trip to Israel in 2019, I picked up some small stones and brought them back with me. It was a blessing to think that David as a boy, defeated the giant here. I have news for you today. The Bible is true! I can share that truth! I have seen and stood on this place!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Thank you Lord for the Word!!

11/15/24
JOHN 1: 26-32
I love this scripture! John the Baptist was telling those that were sent from the Pharisees who he was and what his mission was. He let them know that he was not the messiah but he let them know the messiah was coming! I love verse 29 “Behold the Lamb of God”. Can you just imagine being in that crowd and Jesus the King of all Glory walked up? Wow!! I would have love to have seen that!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to point someone to the Lamb of God today!

11/16/24
JOB 2: 7-10
Have you ever had someone, even someone in your family, cut you with words? Maybe they did not mean to come across the way it came across. Job’s wife did not have good advice for her hurting her husband. Verse 9, she tells him that he should curse God and die. Wow, you know those words did not encourage Job. But Job’s answer uplifted me! “Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh”. If someone has a negative message to you today, don’t curse, don’t quit! Keep your eyes on the Lord and God will take care of you.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to praise you no matter what others say around me!

11/17/24
MATTHEW 28: 1-6
I know it’s not Easter, but every now and then I think it is good to just remember what the Lord had done for you and I. What a Savior!! Not only did Jesus Christ die for our sins, He came out of the grave and defeated death, hell and the grave while He was at it! Let’s praise Him today for being the perfect Savior!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Thank you Jesus!!

11/18/24
I KINGS 18: 21
As in Elijah’s day, the same is happening today! There is too much fence straddling going on! Too many people today are trying to listen to Almighty God and listen to the world at the same time. It will not work! God is a jealous God. Just as in today’s scripture, God would not put up with His people following a false god, Baal. God will not put up with that today! Let’s set our hearts upon the Lord and what He has done for us and follow Him!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me to keep my focus on you daily! 11/19/24
LUKE 18: 35-43
Today’s text is a little long, but powerful! The blind man received his sight because of his trust in Jesus! He cried out to Jesus (verse 38). He acknowledged who Jesus was “thou Son of David” (verse 38). He begged for mercy for his sin, “have mercy on me” (verse 38). Maybe we should go the route of the blind man today, then we will get answered prayers!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Have mercy upon me today Lord!

11/20/24
ISAIAH 41: 10-13
I know that we have shared this scripture in months past, but I believe that the Lord is dealing with my heart to share it again. Too many of God’s people are living in fear today! Child of God, stop being afraid! God tells us that He is with us. God tells us that He will help us. God tells us that He will hold us up with His right hand. Why are we scared? Stop, and serve the Lord!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, give me victory over fear!

11/21/24
REVELATION 21: 1-4
With this being the start of Thanksgiving week, I thought that we should share some things that you and I should be thankful to the Lord. Today’s scripture tells us of a place known as Heaven, that the Lord has prepared for them that trust Him. A place of reunion (verse 3), a place where God will be (verse 3) and a place where there will be no more pain (verse 4). I don’t know about you, but I am thankful to the Lord for such a place!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Thank you Lord for the City of God!!

11/22/24
ISAIAH 40: 8
The Bible declares that grass and flowers will wither and fade, but God’s word is forever! I am so thankful for the Bible today! With all that is happening in this old world, I am so thankful that the blessed book tells me that God is still in control! Get into your Bible today. Hide it’s words in your heart. It will last forever!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, thank you for the Word!!

11/23/24
JOHN 3: 16

We should always be thankful for the Son of God, Jesus Christ! With everything in the world going on today, and some people saying and acting like there is nothing in their lives to be thankful for, here is something to be thankful for. God’s Son, Jesus Christ, came from Heaven and died for us! Because of Jesus, you and I can have everlasting life@ Let’s thank God for the Son!!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Thank you Lord for what you have done for me!!

11/24/24
PSALM 118: 1
As it is Thanksgiving week, there are a couple of good reasons to thank the Lord! First, because He is good! Well, what’s so special about that? Not everyone is good. But God is! Second, because God’s mercy endureth forever. God does not forgive you and I of sin today and then forget us tomorrow. His mercy lasts forever! What a God we serve!!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Thank you Lord for being who you are!!

11/25/24
PHILIPPIANS 4: 4-7
Here is something that each of us should really be thankful for- the peace of God. I think that I can safely say that we all want and need the peace of God. There is nothing in the world like being able to lay your head on a pillow and go to sleep! Because of what the Lord has done for you and I on that cross and coming out of that grave, we can have peace that only comes from God. Praise the Lord!!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY- Thank you Lord for that peace that can only come from you!

11/26/24
PSALM 100: 1-5
Today’s scripture speaks for itself! I love verse 4 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving”. We should come into the house of God being thankful.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY- Thank you Lord!

11/27/24
TITUS 2: 13-14
The Bible reminds us today of what we have to be thankful for in the near future. The coming of the Lord! Friends, I believe that we are closer to the coming of the Lord, “the glorious appearing” that the text is talking about here than ever before. I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to the day when the Lord will take us out of this troubled world. Keep looking up, its coming!!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Thank you Lord for the promise of your return!

11/28/24
PROVERBS 13: 20
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Who or what group am I walking with today? The Bible declares that the fool hath said in his heart that there is no God (Psalm 14:1). The Bible teaches in our scripture today that walking with the wise will make me and you wise. The Bible declares in Matthew 2: 1-2 that wise men seek Jesus. Which group are we walking with today, the fools or the wise? Think about it, our future may hang on our answer.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, guide me to the crowd I should walk with.

11/29/24
PHILIPPIANS 2: 9-11
There is power in a name. Think about it. When someone becomes the President of the Unites States, that persons name is known throughout our land. The name of Jesus Christ has been highly exalted by Almighty God! That name has been given power-one day every knee will bow before him and every tongue will confess that He is Lord!! Now there is a name with power! Let’s praise that name today.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord, help me to share that powerful name with others today.

11/30/24
DANIEL 1: 8
Daniel was taken into a foreign land. As a young man, he was offered the best of food and drink. All he had to do was to learn the customs of the foreign land and follow them. Daniel was to turn his back on his homeland and fool the gods of the new land and he would get the best of food and drink. But Daniel did not want to turn his back on his home or his God! The Bible declares here that he purposed in his heart not to follow the new way. Let’s follow Daniel’s lead and purpose in our hearts to follow Almighty God today!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Help me Lord to keep my focus on you!
